Erin Burrell is an accomplished advertising design professional with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. He has honed his design leadership across several major agencies, including Deutsch LA, Saatchi & Saatchi LA, and TBWA\Chiat\Day\MAL, contributing to some of the most recognized campaigns in modern advertising, including Apple’s iconic Silhouette and Mac vs. PC work.
Most recently, Erin served as a Design Director at Deutsch LA and now works as a freelance Design Director based in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to successful, award-winning campaigns for brands including Volkswagen, Nintendo, Walmart, Dr Pepper and Taco Bell. With extensive experience spanning brand identity, digital platforms, and integrated campaigns, Erin brings a refined eye for design systems and a deep understanding of how branding and marketing work together to drive impact.
Erin’s education at ArtCenter College of Design has been instrumental in shaping his artistic approach. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on illustration design and fine art painting. Outside of commercial work, he continues to explore his passion for art through sculpture using wood and non-traditional materials, as well as painted compositions that incorporate mylar, acrylic, graphite, and spray paint to create sub-layered drawings and dimensional forms. His work has been exhibited in galleries across Los Angeles.
Erin’s creativity extends beyond advertising and design. A breakdancer with performance credits in music videos for Ingrid Michaelson and Beth Ditto, he draws ongoing inspiration from the relational connections within the creative communities that surround him in Southern California. His multidisciplinary practice—spanning design, sculpture, photography, and movement—reflects a commitment to storytelling through both commercial and fine art.
